Juniors Program Who May Attend? Responsible and mature Juniors 12-20 years olds are welcome to participate. Individuals must enroll in the program before their 18th birthday. Individuals between 18-21 years old, who did not register for the Junior Program by their 18th birthday may be eligible for the Juniors Plus membership. The Juniors Program is open to the public, therefore participants do not need to be a club member. Program leadership reserves the right to dismiss any participant who fails to demonstrate responsible firearms handling and attention to safety details. Safety is our first priority. Individuals may participate in the Winchester NRA course of fire to help them earn their Distinguished Expert Badge in Rifle shooting. Participants of this program will be introduced to a broad array of firearms, including pistol, shotgun and rifles. We will also offer archery for those who are interested. When Wednesday Evenings - 6:00 - 9:00 pm Where Indoor ranges which are closed to general usage during the Juniors Program. In addition to the indoor shooting season the Juniors may be invited to participate in outdoor activities such as Trap, Big Bore shooting, Black powder shooting and Hunting. Cost There is no cost to participate in the Juniors Program. All ammunition and firearms will be provided by the Holbrook Sportsmen's Club. Advancing to Associate Membership After turning 21 years old, participants in the Junior Program may be eligible to receive an Associate Membership scholarship that pays their first year of membership fees. To be eligible for the scholarship, participants must join the program before their 18th birthday and participate in Juniors program activities. Scholarship is pending the recommendation of the program directors. |
