Precision Rifle Series

The PRS Rimfire Series is a precision bolt-action .22 LR rifle competition conducted under the guidelines of the Precision Rifle Series (PRS). This discipline emphasizes accuracy, consistency, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Competitors engage variable-sized steel targets at distances typically ranging from 25 to 220 yards, requiring precise ballistic knowledge, wind reading, and positional stability. Courses of fire are designed to test a shooter’s ability to adapt to changing conditions and shooting problems.

Shooting positions are intentionally varied and may include, but are not limited to, barricades (such as Bianchi barricades), ladders, elevated platforms, and simulated rooflines. Stages often require shooters to transition between multiple positions under time constraints, emphasizing efficient movement, rifle control, and stage management.

PRS Rimfire provides a challenging yet accessible competitive format that closely mirrors centerfire precision rifle competition, making it ideal for both experienced precision shooters and those looking to develop foundational skills in a cost-effective and highly technical discipline.
