The Holbrook Sportsmen’s Club hosts several action shooting programs including  IDPA, USPSA, Multi-Gun, Low light and training events.  Members who are unfamiliar with these events must attend an introductory course and attend events to observe before registering. 

If you are new to action shooting sports, please do not purchase new equipment until we provide you money saving advice.  Rather, practice with what you have, borrow equipment from others and learn before buying.  Other attendees are always welcoming and willing to teach. The goal of these programs is to become more proficient at firearms handling and to practice the skills that you will use in competitive and defensive scenarios.

Steps to Participating in Action Shooting Programs

• Attend the "Introduction to Action Shooting" program (check club calendar for details)
• Come and observe some events to become familiar with the program
• Sign up for a free Practiscore account (required for registering for events)
• Begin by shooting Bowling Pins or Steel Challenge
