The following rules apply to all indoor and outdoor ranges.

All outdoor firearms ranges are closed on Easter Sunday.

All ranges are closed on Saturday until 12:30 PM for work parties.

THE FOUR UNIVERSAL FIREARM SAFETY RULES

  1. Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
  2. Never allow the muzzle to point at anything you are not willing to destroy.
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you are ready to fire.
  4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.

FIRING LINE SAFETY

      • Firearms must remain unloaded until on the firing line and ready to shoot.
      • Actions must remain open and magazines removed until the shooter is ready to fire.
      • Before handling any firearm, ensure the range is safe and that no one is downrange.
      • Always keep firearms pointed downrange.
      • Eye and ear protection are required for all persons on the range.
      • Fully automatic fire, burst fire, bump firing, and uncontrolled rapid fire are prohibited.

Any member may call a CEASE FIRE.

When a cease fire is called:

    1. Immediately stop shooting.
    2. Unload all firearms and open the action.
    3. Step back from the firing line.
    4. Do not handle firearms, magazines, or equipment during a cease fire.
    5. Do not move forward of the firing line until the line is declared safe.

All shooting must be conducted from the designated firing line unless otherwise authorized.

      • Return all target stands to the designated storage area. Do not leave stands on the range.
